What is a Marvelous Curl Cut?

A Marvelous Curl Cut is a cut for curly-wavy, curly, kinky and/or coily hair (3b -4c). It incorporates a curl by curl method and a curl grouping method which is done on dry defined curls. In this service the hair is usually cut first then is taken through a detoxification/cleanse treatment, hydration and lastly styled and set with curl products.

How should I arrive for a Curly Cut?

Please arrive with your hair your hair down curly in a defined wash and go style.For tight curly, coily and kinky textures, it  is important that your hair is thoroughly detangled before your service. If your hair is not detangled and is severely tangled and/or matted, be prepared to be charged an additional $50 to detangle. 

What is a Marvelous Curl Goals Restoration?

This is a two hour long service that is suitable for new guests who new to their curls and are in need of assistance in learning how to properly care for their curls. This service includes a consultation where your hair and curls are discussed, a detox and cleanse, a hydration/condition treatment, a Marvelous Curl Cut and style. A haircut is optional, however in my experience I find that every new curl client is in need of one. Should you choose to forego the haircut, you are welcome to do so however it will not change the price of this service.

Is there a charge for a consultation?

Yes there is a $25 charge for consultations.

What form of payments do you accept?

I accept cash, check and all major credit cards. I also do Zelle and Apple pay.

Cancellation Policy

I require 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule services to allow me to fill the vacant appointment time. Cancellations made less than 48 hours will incur a late-cancel, no-show fee of $50 per service that must be paid before a new appointment can be scheduled.

Adjustments on Services

I am happy to alter a cut or color if it is not quite right for you. Please notify me within 10 days after your service and I will do my best to get you back in to my studio salon to do the adjustment. 

Photos and Social Media

I do take both photos of my work before and after of the finished look for my social media. I take special care to make sure you look good. If you do not wish to have your face photographed please let me know and I will keep your face hidden.

Children and Guests

I work in a very small studio with no additional room for guests who are not having a service. Please make arrangements for childcare. If not then your appointment will need to be rescheduled for a another day and time.
